Cognitive psychology: the future of the field of psychology

Cognitive psychology is a fascinating field that explores how the mind processes and interprets information. Cognition is defined as the mental activity that goes on in the brain when a person is processing information- organizing it, understanding it, and communicating it to others, this process is called the mediational process. It's amazing to think about how our brains can perceive, analyze, and store vast amounts of data. Through the study of cognitive psychology, we can gain a better understanding of how we learn, remember, and think.

Dating back to the field of psychology, it can be seen that the field of psychology has been specifically focused on behavior-oriented explanations. It focuses on the idea that all behaviors of individuals are learned through interactions with the environment. Later with the new findings in the field of psychology called ‘cognitive Psychology’ by German-American Psychologist, ‘Ulric Richard Gustav Neisser’, conclusions were drawn that the functioning of the internal cells of the brain influences the reason behind human behavior.

Cognitive psychology studies the internal mental activities of our brain. Further, inventions of brain imaging techniques like FMRI, CT, PET, EEG, and MEG have helped a lot to develop various research and to make conclusions in the field. There have also been numerous studies related to brain cell activities that gave ways to improve our learning and memory like the Retrieval process, getting feedback, speed practice, and so on through various experiments in this field.

Further, through these brain imaging techniques, new research called BRAIN (Brain Research Through Advancing Innovative) has been introduced. It is making its way in which advanced genetic and optical techniques have been combined and new research has been made in cognitive psychology. Through these advancements in technology, we can conclude that this emerging field of psychology will become a new way to study human behavior and to give precise conclusions, therapies, and medications for psychological problems.

This knowledge can be applied to many areas, such as education, advertising, and even self-improvement. As we continue to unravel the mysteries of the human mind, cognitive psychology will remain a vital and exciting area of research.
